1) Make a Schedule: Make a list of the things that you need to do and prioritize them. One of the best ways to simplify your life is to make a schedule. This will allow you to keep track of your activities and make you aware of where your time is going. Scheduling helps you prioritize tasks and eliminate any wasted time.

2) Don’t try to do too much at once: Focus on one task at a time. Be sure to factor in important activities such as exercise, meal times, and rest periods. These are important elements to keep you healthy and will help you focus on the important things in your life avoiding unnecessary stress.

3) Declutter: Clutter in your environment can make life seem overwhelming and chaotic. Simplify your home. Take the time to get rid of items you no longer use or need. Arrange furniture so there is space to move around it. Get rid of clothes, furniture, and other items that you don’t use or need. This will help clear up space in your home reducing the clutter in your life.

4) Automate Tasks: Automation can help you simplify many tasks that you do on a regular basis. Automating tasks such as payments, reminders, and other activities can help you save time and make life more manageable. Online bank payments, credit card payments, scheduling phone reminders are all ways to automate your live. Streamline your errands. Plan your route and make sure you have everything you need in one trip.

5) Set Boundaries: Setting boundaries for yourself is a great way to simplify your life. Make sure you set boundaries for how you spend your time and who you spend it with. Evaluate the tasks you take on and set boundaries around what you will and will not do. Let go of perfectionism. Aim for excellence, but don’t stress if something isn’t perfect. Be easy on yourself.

6) Simplify Your Diet: Eating healthy and nutritious foods can help make life simpler. Reduce processed foods and add more whole foods. Eating healthy meals can help you boost your energy levels and enhance your overall wellbeing.

7) Plan your meals a week in advance: Planning your meals ahead of time creates a clear picture of what you will need to have on hand for the week. It takes out the annoying question “What am I going to cook for dinner tonight.” This frees up unnecessary worry and stress.

8) Take Breaks: Taking breaks throughout the day can help reduce stress and simplify your life. Make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day to give your mind and body a break. Cut out activities that bring you down and don’t bring you joy.

Consider setting aside some time each day to spend quality time with your loved ones. Take time for yourself. Schedule time for relaxation and leisure activities.

10) Ask for Help: Remember you aren’t a super-being. There are companies out there that deliver healthy meals, or cleaning people that come, or if you have others living with you ask them to help out, or assign them duties.

Wendy’s words for you…..It has been a pleasure writing this blog for you, I hope you found some helpful suggestions. When I set about decluttering my home I always think about one of the principles of feng shui.

According to traditional Chinese beliefs, a feng shui-ed space lets energy flow more freely,

offering an environment of harmony, balance, and positivity.

I look to see if I am allowing the energy to flow freely, I know if I don’t then energy can get stuck in areas especially corners. Stuck energy becomes heavy energy.

There seems to be a lot of stress in the world now, I believe it is our responsibility to eliminate what we can. Making our home life a little simpler is a great way to start the process.
